Studying tools

Studying for exams is a long process that I am just starting. My exams are through the whole month of May, gonna be a long month. So far I have been making notes on all the chapters we have done so far. I've also gotten a hold of some past exams so I can identify where my strengths and weaknesses lie.

Question: What do you find is/are the most effective tool(s) for exam prep?

  1. I find that the easiest way to study is to just study for an hour or two each day leading up to the day of the exam (with longer periods of studying as the exam gets nearer of course). Keeping everything always fresh in your mind always helps, even though it's kind of a pain.

  2. I just study a topic at a time, no matter how much time it takes. Time is an arbitrary thing anyway

  3. I've been quite lucky this year. I have only two final exams, my last classes are on Apr 6th, and my two exams are on Apr 24th and 25th. As you can see, that gives me almost 3 weeks of free study time for only two exams, one being all multiple choice and the other being math.

  4. Practice problems. Lots and lots of practice problems. I'll be sure to follow you and keep up with your progress!

  6. Practice. Alot. And remember to get plenty of sleep the night before your exam.

  7. Do all the homework and assignments in class, then at the end of the course (but before the exam) just do a bunch of old exams.

  9. Usually the books are the most useful.

What I normally do during a cram session is grab my notes, turn on the techno, and shut off the world. Good luck!
